Hi, I’m Cat!
I started GirlEatsBike started 5 years ago while I was on my journey to find fitness and lose weight.
In fact, I’ve lost over 120lbs in my life*
It was amazing to bridge the concept of food as fuel – I could ride further if I ate better, and vice versa, if you love food like I do, you can – and should – eat more when you ride more!
Now cycling fills me up in other kinds of ways – body, mind, and spirit.
(Don’t get me wrong, I still love the snacks.)
I believe in the transformative power of the bike, in our personal lives, our communities, and the world at large.
If you’re looking for a good way to get active, to explore the world around you, to have apositive impact on the world, or to explore healthy living – a bicycle is a great way to do it.
If you want to try on riding a bike, but you don’t think it’s for you because you don’t think you fit in, or you don’t look like stereotypical images of lean, lycra-clad chicks on bikes, I’m here to tell you:
Ignore all that noise and get on a bike.
“Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage.” – Anais Nin
So live your life.
Keep moving forward, and enjoy the ride.
*You can ride at any weight. You don’t need to be on a “weight-loss journey” or use the bike for “exercise” – unless you actually want to. Want some help? Click here to see how I can help you personally.
