Hello friends,

It’s that time of year again. Sharpen your pencils, get your marble composition note books ready, because I’m issuing a challenge!

It’s been three years since my last semester of college – whoa.. hold on.. that’s crazy, it feels like it’s been so long yet I still can’t believe it! It was a lifetime ago – and I love this time of year. The weather cools down, the leaves are pretty, it’s a great time for riding and recentering yourself after a hectic summer. After Labor Day the whole pulse and tenor of life seems to slow down and though it means winter is creeping around the corner faster than we can fathom, I just want to be in the moment, totally present, and enjoy the stuffing out of these days.

So where’s the challenge, you’re wondering?

Well a friend of mine, in the spirit of motivation advised me that it’s back-to-school time and she challenged me to track all of my food intake on MyFitnessPal for one week. Another friend of mine is challenging herself to a “gratitude” project. So I says to myself, Self, why don’t you mate these two projects together and challenge yourself – in the spirit of mental and physical health – track all of your food for 30 days, and journal daily gratitude?

I’m deciding right now if I want the second piece of this challenge to be in a public forum or not, but I will start today regardless.

I have only two questions for ya:

1) Who’s coming with me?

2) Why not?
