How are you?

I’m well, thanks.

Literally – I’m well. It feels nice.

Work is busy, life outside of work is busy – this is the only reason for my silence.

But I know in my heart that this blog has been quiet for a few weeks, and that makes me sad. I’d hate for you, nameless reader, to think I’m not here.

Some things I’ve been up to:

Spin class & gym time – been ramping up the activity in this department. Strength is growing in my shoulder and upper body, in fact, the other night I was able to bench press again. That felt AMAZING! Though, I’m pretty damn sore now. :)

In spin last weekend, my instructor played the CD I gave to her as a New Years thank you. This was hard, because it’s a 45 minute long continuous track. No breaks. And I’ve been working out with this track for a while, so it’s not necessarily “borning” but to experience a hard core spin class with LONG ass music that I’m completely familiar with was a serious challenge.

Also, Ms. Elle*Eye picked up her new bike recently, so we took it out for a quick spin last Sunday because the weather was nice. That was really enjoyable. 38 minutes, 7.44 miles.

What else, what else… Oh, I finally owned up to gaining 3lbs over the holidays. Not great, not terrible. It’s been worse. Elle*Eye actually lost weight during this time. Fancy pants!!

The mountains of cookies and candy left over from our New Years party was quickly distributed to the kitchens here at work – let someone else fatten up on them. Yeah, I was That Girl, V2012.

I’m going to start getting back to the weekly weigh-in, because I think that’s healthier than what I’ve been doing.

Last night I finished reading my detox book – so today I’m going to start menu planning for next weekends juice fast. That one is going to be exciting!! I will sequester myself for the weekend, and I’ve been advised not to do spin class or anything strenuous. During that time, so I’ll be gentle with myself.

Also, I ordered my heart rate monitor and Digifit key thingie for the iPad cardio app I want to try out. I’ll let you know when I actually receive and get to try it out.

Okay, so, I’m going to try to do more posting.. but I can’t make any promises.
