HI, I’m Catherine Caperello and my problem is that I do not go shopping!!! Seriously, I never get to the market for fresh food and that is the core issue facing my nutrition. I work at home, I often eat at my desk. I am not getting outside for enough fresh air. And it’s summer in Portland, Oregon for crying out loud! What am I thinking?
This is will be our first full rainy season and if I’m having a problem getting out now (Tillamook ride aside – and really, I’m not talking about big things. I’m talking about the minutia required for regular small trips to the grocer) how crazy and hermit-like can I get this winter?
I did get myself a good hi-viz rain jacket and a helmet cover – I hope they’re good anyway. They were hella on sale and I couldn’t pass it up. Felt weird to make that investment when it was probably 90-degrees out, but still. I couldn’t pass it up.
Anywhoo – I need to eat more vegetables. I haven’t been eating meat the past month-and-a-half, and I am subbing with carbs. No bueno.
Stick with me here.
Core nutrition problem: carb-loading, not enough vegetables.
Solution: Eat more vegetables
How: Buy them, prepare them, consume them
So easy. I need to commit to getting out of the house and BUYING VEGETABLES AT THE MARKET a few times a week.
